AI labels & Content Credentials

Vidova labels AI-generated content so people can always tell how it was made. The EU AI Act (Article 50) also requires AI-generated video, images and audio to be marked.

What you'll see

• An AI-generated label on public share pages, on Explore and in the media viewer.
• Tap the label to open its Content Credentials: the model and how the file is marked.

What's inside your downloads

When you download a generation or export from the editor, we embed Content Credentials (the open C2PA standard) where the file format supports it: MP4, MOV, JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, MP3 and WAV. They are signed, tamper-evident metadata that record:

• that the file was created with generative AI (or edited in Vidova and contains AI media),
• the model and provider that made it, and the date,
• Vidova as the app that produced it.

If a provider already signed its output (some video models do), we keep their credentials and add ours on top.

Editor exports are also tagged "AI-generated by Vidova" in the file's regular metadata, which most players and editors can read.

Privacy

Content Credentials never include your prompt, your name, your email or any account details.

Check a file

Upload any file to contentcredentials.org/verify to see its credentials. Editing or re-encoding a file in another app can remove them, so keep the label when you publish.
